Shiranamikai marked the last club session of 2011 with a special lesson taught by Ohta Sensei, 7th Dan and Chief Instructor of JKA England.
We covered a lot of ground and it didn’t take long for cheeks to become rosier and for the sweat to start running. The training was intense – quite taxing for some of our younger members, but it was good to see everybody pushing themselves to give their very best.
This session was attended by a range of students, including those who were not grading this time around. Coming to these special sessions, in addition to regular club training, is one of the best ways to challenge yourself and identify areas for improvement. Dan grades had to work extra hard at the end of the line with more combinations and to help spur on the juniors.
Following the training we held a kyu grading. Congratulations to all those who were successful in passing. As always, Ohta Sensei conducted the exam rigorously.
We look forward to seeing you back at the dojo on 7th January!
